Hope House (Casa Esperanza) offers a better solution for disabled youth and adults. One that would be home-like , joyful, comfortable and happy.Hope House is like a sprawling country home in an inviting and virtually unparalleled environment. It is gladly called “home” today, by 40 cherished residents. For these people and their families, Hope House brings genuine promise for a bright future. Many of the residents remain here for extended periods of time. Some have been living at Hope House since it began , 46 years ago. EXCITING NEWS!
One of the most difficult tasks at Hope House is the ability to communicate with the residents. Most all of them are unable to speak. We have some exciting news we would like to share with you!
Hope House has f0und a new way into the lives of our residents in the form of very affordable and readily available technology which could help many of them to cross the communication barriers which have stood in their way. There is a simple and effective tool which has been designed to run an iPad which will allow our residents to communicate their wants and needs to one another as well as the staff and their family members. The gift of communication is available for the price of an iPad and $200 software. We need not tell you what a wonderful opportunity this is for us to improve the quality of life of as many residents as possible.
Our goal is to provide every resident with an iPad and the communication software mentioned above. The total amount of funds required if we purchase new iPads with the software would be $24,000 for 40 residents. With your help, I know we can easily meet that goal. Hope House HCS Services to begin!
We are very excited to announce that Hope House is officially opening it’s HCS medicaid wavier services program. This program will allow us to provide care for qualified clients in either our small group home in Liberty Hill, or in-home services.
